Job Description
NewQuest
Capital Partners (“NewQuest”), a leading Pan-Asian private equity firm focused
on the secondaries strategy with over US$1.2bn AUM, is seeking Investment Analyst
Interns (“Analyst Interns”) to be based in its Beijing Office.
NewQuest
was established in 2011 from the spin-out of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s
Asian Private Equity team and currently manages three funds with 21 investment
professionals, 4 finance staff, and 4 administrative staff located in Hong
Kong, Beijing, Mumbai, and Tokyo.
The analyst interns will assist the
China Investment Team with the evaluation of investment opportunities in China
and general research duties in the consumer, healthcare, and TMT sectors.
Career Type: Part-time, minimum of three days a week for at
least 6 months starting from summer 2019
Office Location: Chaoyang District, Beijing
Responsibilities:
Track the trends and identify potential
investment opportunities in the consumer, healthcare, and TMT space; Prepare industry research reports on a monthly
basis
Conduct desktop research and prepare supporting
materials for live investment deals
Assist in building financial models and drafting
investment memos
Provide support to other research initiatives in
the firm
Requirements:
Penultimate year undergraduate or master student
from top universities with solid financial knowledge and prior internship
experience in related sectors
Major in Finance, Economics, Management,
Computer Science, and Bio-med are preferred
Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with
Office applications and key financial databases including Bloomberg and Capital
IQ
Strong written and verbal communication skills
in English to be able to communicate across offices to Hong Kong, Mumbai, and
Tokyo
Ability to work with a high level of
productivity and accuracy / attention to details
Working knowledge, or ability to quickly learn
private equity transactions
Successful analyst interns should exhibit reliable,
dependable, and consistent work attitude
